Debconf 3
Debconf 3 was held in Oslo, from July 18th to July 20th 2003, with Debcamp preceding it, from July 12th to July 17th. The University of Oslo generously agreed to host Debconf 3. Please see the press release for a summary of the event.
In the autumn of 2002, Tollef Fog Heen took the initiative to organise Debconf and Debcamp in Oslo. Andreas Schuldei was the main organiser for the event and managed to get funding through sponsors (25,000 euro) for covering the expenses (free food, etc.). Petter Reinholdtsen and Morten Kjelkenes from NUUG (Norwegian Unix Users Group) were the local organisers with the help of a high number of local volunteers.
